The war memorial was designed to honor the men and women who left the studio to fight in WWII. The monument was unveiled in 1944, and it was one of many ways the studio rallied around its soldiers. Some very familiar names or on this honor roll: Jack L., and Jack M. Warner (father and son), John Huston, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Stewart, Louis Zamperini, and the Epstein brothers (wrote the screenplay for Casablanca).
