In honor of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood has unveiled a dynamic new exhibit at Stage 48: From Script to Screen, spotlighting the impactful contributions of AAPI talent in film and television.
Running throughout May 2025, the curated display features iconic costumes, props, and memorabilia from an array of groundbreaking AAPI characters and performers who have helped shape popular culture. Among the centerpiece items is a rare handwritten letter from martial arts legend Bruce Lee, penned during the filming of Enter the Dragon, offering a personal glimpse into the mind of a trailblazer whose legacy transcends generations.
Visitors can also view Jet Li’s costume, sunglasses, and original chairback from Romeo Must Die, where he starred as Han Sing, a role that brought martial arts action to a new generation of Western audiences. Nearby, Katana’s costume from Suicide Squad, and Superhero Eugene’s vibrant ensemble from Shazam! represent the growing presence of AAPI characters in major superhero franchises.
The exhibit continues with wardrobe pieces worn by Simu Liu in his role as Ken in Barbie, and Lana Lang’s high school look from the long-running series Smallville, adding depth to the portrayal of AAPI characters in genres ranging from fantasy to drama.
Notably, Sophie’s costume from Moonshot, Amita’s elegant attire from Ocean’s 8, and Emily Fields’ sporty wardrobe from Pretty Little Liars highlight the diversity of AAPI women in contemporary storytelling. One classic featured in the exhibit is the renowned black coat donned by Neo in The Matrix: Reloaded, which became an instant icon.
The exhibit is rounded out with curated wall prints celebrating on-screen moments and behind-the-scenes contributions, reminding audiences that AAPI excellence in entertainment extends far beyond the camera.
This special exhibit is a tribute to the creativity, talent, and cultural richness that AAPI artists bring to the entertainment industry. The AAPI exhibit is included with admission to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood and will be on display throughout the month of May at Stage 48: From Script to Screen.
